I took Toy Product Design, or 2.00b, during the spring of 2022. Over the course of the semester students work together in teams to design, fabricate, and present an original toy product. Our team's product, Marble Machine, invited users to create their own Rube Goldberg mechanism by attaching pieces to a magnetic board. Following the conclusion of the class, the MIT Museum asked our team to design an interactive museum installation inspired by our project.

Teams conducted play testing with their prototypes at the Discovery Museum in Acton, MA.
Fabrication of the final product took place at the end of the semester. In this photo our team is bending plywood sheets to make curved ramps.

The semester culminated in a carnival where each team performed a skit presenting their toy. This photo was taken at rehearsal the day before.
